Cullinan Park Conservancy New Board Members & Officers

Cullinan Park Conservancy has added four new board members and elected officers for 2021. “We are thrilled to have such a talented group of community leaders joining our board and assuming leadership roles. I’m happy to be turning over the reins to Robbin Mallett who will serve as Board President. She’s an avid birder, certified Texas Master Naturalist and long-time supporter of the park,” said immediate Past President Mike Dobert.

robbin mallettMallett, a public relations professional, has served several nonprofits in the community including Fort Bend Cares, Fort Bend Family Promise and Fort Bend ISD. She coordinated the Cullinan Park Photo Contest for the past two years and served on the Development, Community Partners and Marketing & Communications Committees during her tenure on the Board.

Susie Goff was re-elected Vice President of the Board. Goff is Marketing Committee Chair and a key organizer of the Conservancy’s annual Picnic for the Park luncheon which was held virtually this October due to COVID. Betty Baitland was elected for another term as Secretary. Baitland is a long-time resident of Sugar Land and has served on numerous nonprofit boards in the community. Will Cravens was elected Treasurer. Cravens is Executive Vice President at Scanlan Foundation and has managed numerous companies in the construction and engineering sectors.

jocelyn jacksonfarrah sabounilauren glinkeNew members joining the board are Jocelyn Jackson, Kelsey Low and Farrah Sabouni. Jackson is Senior Organizational Development Consultant with Houston Methodist Hospital and prior to that worked for sixteen years as a teacher and administrator with Fort Bend ISD. Low is the Adult Programs Manager at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center and a member of the City of Sugar Land PARCS Board. Sabouni is a Principal and Project Manager with Houston-based AUTOARCH Architects. She graduated from the University of Houston’s College of Architecture and earned two graduate degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Also joining the board through the Rice Business Board Fellows program is Lauren Glinke. This year-long experiential learning program matches talented, energetic and committed Rice MBA students as fellows to local nonprofit boards to serve as non-voting board members. Cullinan Park Conservancy will benefit from Glinke’s ideas and energy and she executes a project during her year as a Board Fellow.

Executive Director Beth Wolf said, “We are fortunate to have new board members and officers with diverse skills and professional backgrounds who are bringing fresh ideas and perspectives. Their energy will be a huge benefit as we kick off our Phase II improvements – additional trails and parking and begin fundraising for another exciting project – a hands-on outdoor learning and exploration area for children.”
